PAC Process Trained with Live Life Build

The family business is owned and operated by builder, Jonathan Powell, a British ex-pat with nearly two decades’ experience as a carpenter. Jonathan moved to Sydney in 2011 to pursue a life in Australia and a career as a builder and upon arrival, he showed his commitment and focus as he embarked on his Certificate IV and Diploma in Building and Construction. Two years of long days, nights and weekends both on-site and in the classroom finally paid off, giving Jonathan the opportunity to fulfil his dream of becoming a builder.

Since its launch, iConstruct has become well known for its focused attention on renovations and additions. However, Jonathan continued to explore better ways to build with a focus on sustainability, energy efficiency and health. In late 2018 he stumbled across the Passive House standard and subsequently started to focus all his time and attention on this.

Embarking on more self-development, he enrolled on the Passive House tradesperson course and is now registered and certified with the PassivHaus Institute in Germany and a member of the Australian Passive House Association.

With this focus and determination to build better homes for the future, iConstruct can now boast a core team of Certified Passive House designers and tradespersons and rightly call themselves “Passive House Specialists”.
